Mawingu Camp Kenya is where Kenya's skies turn into your playground. From the dramatic edges of the Great Rift Valley, we take you on tandem paragliding flights that trade ordinary weekends for pure, floating freedom.
No experience? Perfect. You'll get a proper safety briefing, then launch with a licensed tandem pilot and soak in wide-open views of the Rift Valley and Mt. Longonot.
We fly across some of Kenya's most iconic sites — Kijabe, Eburu, Tala, Katelembu & Shimba Hills — with group bookings and gift vouchers available, and flights running daily (7:00am–5:00pm) depending on conditions.

Everything you need to know before your adventure
No experience is needed at all! Our tandem paragliding flights are designed for first-timers. You'll fly with a licensed tandem pilot who handles everything. You'll receive a full safety briefing before takeoff, and all you need to do is enjoy the ride.
Safety is our top priority. All flights are conducted by licensed pilots with years of experience. Every flyer is covered by Amref evacuation insurance, included in the booking price. We only fly when weather conditions are safe — if conditions aren't right, we'll reschedule your flight.
For tandem paragliding, the maximum passenger weight is typically around 100 kg (220 lbs). If you're close to or above this limit, please contact us directly so we can match you with the right pilot and equipment. There is no minimum weight requirement.
Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes (trainers/sneakers are ideal — no sandals or heels). Dress in layers as it can be cooler at altitude. Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. We provide all flying equipment including harness and helmet. GoPro footage is included in your booking.
Paragliding is weather-dependent. If conditions are not suitable for flying on your scheduled date, we'll work with you to reschedule at no extra charge. We typically assess conditions on the morning of the flight and will contact you if there are any concerns.
Absolutely! Many of our guests combine camping with their flight experience. You can add camping to any booking — either bring your own tent or use one of our Mawingu Camp Kenya (MCK) tents. It's the perfect way to make a full weekend adventure out of your visit.
Mawingu Camp is located in Kijabe, about an hour's drive from Nairobi. We'll share detailed directions and a Google Maps pin after your booking is confirmed. If you need transport assistance, let us know and we can help arrange it.
We accept payments via M-Pesa, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers through our secure Pesapal payment gateway. You can pay in KES or USD. Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
